North Tillamook Library Friends
Role: Board Member / Communications Chair / Web Design + Development
What: I was nominated and approved as a recent addition to the North Tillamook Library Friends board member. As my first contribution to the Library community, I built a new website for the Friends of the Library, which introduces an ecommerce component to allow members to renew or subscribe online and allow online donations.
Lower Nehalem Community Trust
Role: Fundraiser/Event Planner
What: Planned the 2019 Living Locally fundraising event which brought in over $56,000. The evening included Prosecco and hors d'oeuvres in the Alder Creek Farm gardens, a sold out sit down dinner for 90 people, and live auction. The Special Appeal section of the live auction raised $26,000 on it’s own!
We did it again in 2022. This year we sold out 110 seats and raised more than $70,000! All in the pouring rain… But it didn’t stop our important yearly fundraiser. We moved the dinner and festivities inside our barn and let the party begin. Chip MacGregor, from MacGregor’s Whiskey Bar, led our auction and special appeal. And Julie Barker, from Buttercup, catered fantastic hors d’oeuvres, dinner, and dessert. Thank you to the many other sponsors and partners for your contribution for this very special organization.
About: The Lower Nehalem Community Trust is a member supported, nonprofit organization dedicated to the conservation and restoration of natural lands in and around the Nehalem river valley. The Trust protects the scenic vistas, sparkling rivers and bays, and dense forests that define the northern coast of Oregon. Together we have an opportunity to shape the landscape for the next millennium.
Emergency Volunteer Corps of Nehalem Bay
Role: Web Design/Development/Information Architecture
What: In the fall of 2019, the Emergency Volunteer Corps of Nehalem Bay (EVCNB) board of directors tasked a sub-committee to re-design and develop a new website focused on usability and content to promote to the general public “a culture of preparedness”. I am excited to announce the recent website launch, May 5, 2020! Jenna donated 100% of her time and expertise to this project.
Eugene Schmuck Foundation
Role: Web Design/Development/Strategy and Email Marketing
What: Design and built the Eugene Schmuck Foundation’s first website with ecommerce to accept donations and sign ups/tee times for the yearly Manzanita Open Golf Tournament fundraiser in May. The 2019 Manzanita Open was the most successful fundraiser for the organization in over 10 years, raising over $100,000, including 450 golfers over the 3-day tournament.
Meals for Seniors
Role: Web Design/Development/Strategy
What: Design and built Meals for Seniors’ first website. The website will be used to promote fundraising activities like French Toast Breakfast on holiday weekends, allow online donations by both meal participants and outside supporters and provide monthly menus, contact information and directions to the lunch location.
About: Meals For Seniors Inc. in Rockaway Beach, Oregon, has been serving hot, freshly cooked and nutritious meals to the 55 and over community for over 15 years - from Tillamook to Manzanita. Their mission is to enable senior citizens of North Tillamook County to continue living independently in their own homes by providing access to nutritious meals and social occasions. Seniors are served hot meals 3 days a week at St. Mary by the Sea in Rockaway and will also deliver meals to many seniors who are unable to leave their homes.
Kind words from Meals for Seniors:
“As we close out books on 2019, the Board of Directors of Meals for Seniors, Inc. would like to thank you for your continued support of our website. We particularly appreciate being able to contact you with our questions. You taught us so well that fortunately we don’t have to contact you often! Specifically, we want to thank you for you assistance in helping us to get the PayPal component of our website online. In 2019 we received $750 in donations through the website!!! We were thrilled and could not have done that without your assistance.”
